GOD’S GOT YOUR BACK
“Simon, Simon, look out. Satan has asked to sift you like wheat. But I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22:31- 32 (CSB)
Whether consciously or unconsciously, you enjoy the Mercy of God.
The Mercy of God works or speaks in your favor even when you are ignorant of it. There are several situations where you have been preserved by God’s Mercy.
God’s Mercy endures forever!
Do you know the number of times the adversary has plotted against your life and destiny?
Yet God’s Mercy has always protected and sustained you.
From the opening verse, you will see the example of Peter.
While he was living his life faithfully as Jesus’ disciple (as far as he can be), the adversary sought to sift him. The adversary had diligently orchestrated the fall of Peter. But Peter had the backing of God’s mercy.
Jesus prayed a prayer of petition for Peter.
Peter had no idea the sequence of events happening behind him.
This means it wasn’t by the faith of Peter that the adversary couldn’t sift him. It was by the Mercy of God.
God’s Mercy endures forever!
You may not know the many plottings of the enemy, but God’s Mercy got your back. Your faith cannot fail, because the Mercy of God is sustaining you.
That is why your boast must not be in anything of your effort. Your boast and confidence should be in God who is rich in Mercy.
Have you heard of the phrase “I’ve got your six“?
It is a military term, which means, I’ve got your back. It means there maybe an unforeseen attack behind you, but I have got you. I will defend you and help you.
The Mercy of God in your life is the backing of God.
Just as in times past you were condemned eternally because of the sin of unbelief and trespasses; But God who is rich in mercy demonstrated His greatest love through the saving Grace of Jesus. (Ephesians 2:4-6)
You mean so much to God, than you can ever imagine. You are engraved on the palms of his hands.
“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.”
God’s Mercy is behind and before you in what may seem to be your darkest moments.
Even when your mother and father forsake you, the Lord will take care of you. (Psalm 27:10).
He has got your back, for His Mercies endure forever!

That every orchestration of the devil to sift us, shall not prevail and we shall be sustained in faith according to the great mercies of God.

This is indeed the finger of God in my life.
Because of your mercy, I refuse to walk in fear.
I fear no evil, darkness
I’m not perturbed
Because God’s got my back!!
Because of your mercy, I know my future is secured

It was not by faith that the devil could not sift Peter. He was not even aware but the Lord was merciful.
I enjoy this grace in all seasons of my life
My boast and confidence is in God who is rich in Mercy.

A Mercy that doesn’t fail!!
Although sometime past, I was condemned,,.. I felt I haad no future and I was unworthy. I used to look at myself and cry feeling I was hopeless but you came in and turned my life around.
Thank you for your mercy.

The beginning and the end
The everlasting God
Because He never passes out.. I also know that His mercy never passes out.. It is for every generation
His mercy can never be calculated
We serve a God who is slow to anger

An amazing thing Apostle made us aware from Psalm 136 is that the mercy of God is also seen in the demonstration of His power.
Below are a few highlights;
An amazing thing also is that He stretched the earth on the waters
IN Psalm 136 I know He is the KING of kings and the LORD of lords
He alone does great wonders.
He made the sun and the moon and the great shinning lights
Beloved it is also wonderful to know that He stretches forth His hands always reach out to us
IT IS IN CHRIST THAT MY LIFE FINDS ESSENCE
He is the God that even for the sake of the love He had for His people, divided the red sea for the people to go through
IT HAS BECOME MY SURE CONVICTION THAT IF THE MOST HIGH GOD DID ALL THAT, IS IT MY LIFE, HE CANNOT SET IN PLACE.
OF COURSE NOT!!!!!!!!
MY FUTURE IS SECURED
MY LIFE IS HIDDEN IN CHRIST IN GOD
MY future finds essence in Christ

lot of people have the conviction that when the Lord gives, He takes back but Apostle Bennie made us aware from the scriptures that the gifts and callings of God are without repentance

One thing I have also learnt is that when trials and temptations come our way, it does not mean God is not merciful
They are bound to come but God is merciful
1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT: The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
We serve a faithful God
Beloved, trials and temptations are not from God, but He is faithful
Romans 12:12 ESV
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
I am constant in prayer in trials and temptations because I know the Lord is merciful and faithful. He is a prayer answering God.
1 Peter 5:10
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
John 16:33 ESV
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
Indeed power belongs to Jesus
And you reward everyone according to what he or she has done because you are a merciful God

Indeed the word of God never fades out.
It is eternal and everlasting
Zechariah 1 verse 16 “Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,’ declares the Lord Almighty.

Zechariah 1 verse 17 “Proclaim further: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.’”

Indeed Christ Commonwealth Community would be like a city without wars. Hahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Lord would be the glory of Christ Commonwealth Community
The Lord is indeed merciful

For this is what the Lord Almighty says: “After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye—
Beloved please can someone guess where this scripture is coming from?
I am the apple of God’ eye
Zechariah 2 verse 10 “Shout and be glad, Daughter Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you,” declares the Lord. 11 “Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you. 12 The Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land and will again choose Jerusalem. 13 Be still before the Lord, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.”
Glory to God
In this season, there would be testimonies that the Lord is with Christ Commonwealth Community
The merciful God has roused up looking for who to bless.

5 Then I said, “Put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the Lord stood by.

He opens a door that cannot be shut

Please I have a question . If we cannot lose our salvation, please what does this mean Revelation 3 verse 4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. 5 The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.
