THE ELIXIR FOR YOUR HEALTH 1
” Then, as you unwrap my words, they will impart true life and radiant health into the very core of your being.” Proverbs 4:22 (TPT)
It’s interesting how living out God’s word is seen as an aberrant behaviour by the society. Understand that, the current systems and structures of this world are deviation from God’s original idea.
God didn’t design man to live outside His word.
By the Word of God, the universe, the systems and ages were framed and created [formed, put in order, and equipped for God’s intended purpose]. (See Hebrews 11:3)
Everything God made for man depends on His Word. And the fulfillment of every man’s life and destiny must be according to God’s Word.
All things are sustained and upheld by the Word of His power. (See Hebrews 1:3)
Some see the Word of God as a mere religious code of conducts. The word of God is not a trifling regulatory manuscript of a religion.
We have already seen the primal essence of the Word of God, in previous discussions.
The sovran quality of the Word transcends a checklist of conducts. To have fellowship with the Word, is to have fellowship with God’s creative material and wisdom .
The word of God is God’s elixir for life and health.
Jesus said,
“the Words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.” (See John 6:63).
The scriptures are the holy writ of God’s voice. They carry power to transform lives. That same power by which God made the universe has been woven into these words of the scriptures.
There are people who trust in “science” than the Word. Scientist only discover what has been made by God through His Word.
For more than 3000 years, physicians or scientists used bloodletting as a method to cure sickness. For many centuries scientist believed draining blood out of patients will drain diseases from the patients. This got more sick people killed. It was until 1682 that William Harvey disapproved or discredited this method, after an extensive research work.
It took another 200 years for scientist to finally accept the claims of William Harvey.
In some places in the Middle East, bloodletting is still practiced.
Meanwhile, the solution to bloodletting was stated in the scriptures about 3400 years ago.
” For the life of the flesh is in the blood:…” Leviticus 17:11 (NKJV, see also v 14).
God inspired Moses to inscribe this rich knowledge.
If the surgeons and the physicians had given attention to the scriptures, they would have understood many things long ago.
The Word of God is God’s prescription of health.
Beyond the physical methods the scriptures address (from healthy living to proceedings that leads to healing); there is an unfathomable power, which is wrought through the Word of God.
” My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your heart keep my commandments; For length of days and years of life [worth living] and tranquility and prosperity [the wholeness of life’s blessings] they will add to you.” Proverbs 3:1-2 (Amplified Bible)
Also see the verse 8:
” It will be health to your body [your marrow, your nerves, your sinews, your muscles—all your inner parts] And refreshment (physical well-being) to your bones.” (Amplified Bible).
The light which oozes out of the Word supplies ability to your mind and heart which transmits health and wellbeing to your immune system.
Just as sorrow can weaken a man’s body and even the bones, the WORD OF GOD supplies life and strength to the body and even the bones.
” A glad heart promotes health; but the bones of a sorrowful man dry up.” Proverbs 17:22 (Brenton
Septuagint Translation)
” Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became a joy to me and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts” Jeremiah 15:16 (Amplified Bible)
The word of God sparks joy and refreshes your heart.
Take delight in fellowshipping with the Word of God.

I have life and I enjoy healing and peace through God’s word
Oh boi , the Lord has made an everlasting covenant with me through God’s word

The Lord has healed my broken heart and binded my wounds.
