Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking substitute teachers for grades K-8 in a educational and behavioral treatment program.

Duties (for long-term subs):
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide direct instruction to students in various subjects, including math and language arts
- Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to support students with challenging behaviors
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to create a comprehensive support system for each student
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Incorporate technology and adaptive tools to enhance learning experiences

Skills:
- Experience in education and/or special education settings
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques
- Strong classroom management skills
- Knowledge of education principles
- Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans
- Familiarity with working with students with emotional disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification in special education or relevant field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
