Neuro Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse – Travel Position Location: Wausau, WI Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12s Pay: $2,325/week Job Description We are seeking an experienced Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Wausau, WI. The Neuro ICU Nurse will provide specialized care to patients with critical neurological conditions, including strokes, brain injuries, and post-neurosurgical cases. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in critical care nursing, detail-oriented, and able to respond quickly in high-pressure environments. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for critically ill neurological patients.
• Perform neurological assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, neurosurgeons, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care.
• Monitor vital signs, ventilator settings, and advanced hemodynamic parameters.
• Respond to medical emergencies and implement rapid interventions as required.
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress accurately and promptly.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin (or compact license).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Neuro ICU or critical care nursing experience.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity, fast-paced environments.
