About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Tax Alternative Investments. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services to a diverse range of clients, including those in the venture capital, private equity, hedge fund, and real estate sectors. This role involves ensuring that clients meet all tax obligations while minimizing their tax and reporting burdens, as well as leading a team of tax professionals in delivering high-quality services. The Managing Director will also be involved in identifying and implementing efficient tax strategies, managing client relationships, and overseeing the financial aspects of engagements. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years' of experience in tax, public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting. A CPA, Licensed Attorney, or IRS Enrolled Agent is required, with additional certifications such as a CFP or Masters in Tax being a plus. The role demands a deep understanding of the financial services industry, particularly in the area of alternative investments, and proficiency in the taxation of partnerships. The ideal candidate will have superior communication, analytical, and decision-making skills, and the ability to effectively manage and develop a team of tax professionals. Executive presence and the capacity to act as the primary client contact are also essential.
