Job Description

Overview:
The Light Industrial Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in warehouse, manufacturing, and production areas. This role supports a safe and efficient work environment by ensuring all workspaces, restrooms, and common areas are properly cleaned and maintained according to facility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, and scrub floors in production and warehouse areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and office spaces.
• Collect, sort, and dispose of trash, recyclables, and industrial waste properly.
• Dust, wipe down, and disinfect work surfaces, machinery, and equipment as needed.
• Refill cleaning and restroom supplies (soap, paper towels, sanitizer, etc.).
• Operate light industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, or vacuums.
• Maintain outdoor cleanliness around loading docks, entryways, and walkways.
• Report maintenance or safety issues (spills, leaks, hazards) to supervisors immediately.
• Assist with basic facility upkeep tasks as directed by management.
• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and cleaning procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred (industrial or warehouse environment a plus).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime if needed.
