Digital Marketing Intern

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly is seeking a Digital Marketing Intern to join the Marketing & Communications team in the Indianapolis office. This is not a remote position.

This internship is ideal for a motivated candidate eager to acquire fundamental marketing and communications knowledge and basic skills through practical experience in digital marketing strategy, branding, content writing, graphic design, and campaign analytics. You will gain real-world exposure to digital marketing, social media, website, and content management tools while contributing to projects that support CMT’s clients, employees, and the communities we serve.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and project scope
  • Complete assigned tasks of limited complexity within one or multiple domains of marketing and communications, including:
    • Copywriting for social media, website, and internal communications
    • Designing graphics (social media, website, internal communications, and event/sponsorship materials) using Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
    • Assisting with content planning, scheduling, publishing, and monitoring across digital platforms
    • Assisting with collection, tracking, and interpretation of data and performance metrics (e.g., engagement, conversions, etc.) using analytics and insights tools
    • Collaborating on digital marketing initiatives by suggesting ideas and creative storytelling strategies to elevate the brand
  • Utilize marketing, communications, and/or design software to develop content and follow processes, and uphold marketing standards and brand usage guidelines
  • Align with and embrace CMT’s mission and core values
  • Acquire basic industry knowledge and skills while working under a Marketing Coordinator or Marketing Specialist

Here is what you’ll need:

  • Currently in pursuit of a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines and multiple concurrent tasks
  • Basic copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Ability to apply creativity to develop engaging content and improve processes
  • Basic problem solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions
  • Ability to demonstrate responsiveness, professionalism, and teamwork

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and/or digital marketing platforms
  • 0-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field (experience can be inclusive of roles within university student organizations)
  • Novice or basic knowledge of marketing and/or communications techniques, tools, and principles
  • Novice or basic understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and procedures

The expected compensation range for this position is $21.00-$24.00 hourly. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location.
