SUMMARY

Responsible for assessing, organizing, and controlling support operations for various issues as they arise within the company. This includes activities related to schedule attainment, labor utilization, safety, quality, and supervision of direct reports. This role requires the ability to determine what support is needed in order to accomplish a variety of Organizational Goals.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Establish OPEX metrics and maintain OPEX tracking systems.

· Coordinate planning and schedule activities to ensure customer production orders are covered in advance of the required due date.

· Must act as a self-sustaining change agent within scope of project assigned.

· Liaison with all applicable departments to facilitate change.

· Monitor daily production performance and work with department leadership to ensure correction actions are taken when necessary to meet production goals.

· Coordinate through the Plant Manager to ensure adequate staffing is available to support production requirements. Must also coordinate through Plant Manager to ensure Labor Costs are in align with CLC EBITDA plans.

· Audit process compliance to work standards and enforce quality control programs.

· Assist with problem solving activities to improve areas of deficiency to performance metrics.

· Analyze production performance and implement improvement actions plans where targets are not being met.

· Monitor compliance with company policies and work standards.

· Oversee production launch activities.

· Support training activities and verify training effectiveness.

· Coach and counsel CLC team members on personal performance.

· Support continuous improvement activities through coaching of team members, assignment of personnel to support kaizen events or quality circles, and as a cross-functional team member.

· Participate in and support cost savings program to ensure corporate objectives are met.

· Support IATF16949 initiatives.

· Must be able to train Department Managers at various assignments on essential duties and responsibilities.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Generally asked to assist in overall operations of a plant but could in some cases be assigned direct reports in a temporary of permanent capacity.
