CULTIVATE DILIGENCE

” The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance and advantage, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” Proverbs 21:5 (AMP)

It’s amazing to have great potentials and ideas, but they do not automatically make you successful.
Fruit-bearing also requires another key ingredient – DILIGENCE!
It is essential to be a person of diligence and prompt to follow the Lord’s plans and instructions.
One of the core differences between those who prosper and those who don’t are diligence and promptness.
It is important to take a step towards a goal. However, taking a “one time” step and being inconsistent will not put you at the end of the goal.
Diligence is a consistent working habit one should cultivate.
God’s grace to produce increase must be concurrent with your diligence.
Until then the grace to increase will not manifest.
To be diligent is to be consistent and committed with a working plan or to an instruction of the Lord. It is doing what has been entrusted to you exactly as you were instructed to do and at the expected time.
A diligent person does not procrastinate and does not entertain slothfulness.

” The lazy person craves, yet receives nothing, but the desires of the diligent are satisfied”. Proverbs 13:4 (ISV).

You can have all the desire to be a great man of God, to win millions of souls, to establish a great company to support the spread of the gospel, and etc. But without diligence they will grow into mere wish.
Until you take a diligent step nothing will happen.
This is the secret to many unsatisfied living.
The spiritually lazy man can never move forward in the things of the spirit.
The same in all phases of our living.
Diligence is going the extra mile, to do things consistently and beyond the limit of others to increase results.
At this level, when the blessings of the Lord’s increase come upon what you do, people see an exponential increase.
God rewards diligence.

“Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently seek him“. Hebrews 11:6..

How diligent are you in your Bible reading?
How diligent are you in prayer and acting the Word?
Are you diligently listening to the teachings of the word?
Sometimes, you don’t even share in the grace of the ministry you are established; because you are not consistent with the instructions of the Word.
A man of diligence brings growth in the ministry of the Lord.
The more diligent you are in devouring and meditating on the teachings, the more fresh ability is released.

“I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.”
 Proverbs 8:17

There is an anointing that backs every message and when you diligently meditate, you come into the experience of the message
Are you praying at the time, you are asked to pray? (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
The Lord doesn’t just instruct us to pray, He sees far and knows the capacity we need to build before time.
How diligent are you with your soul winning activity, your business and academics?
People who are slothful are always stagnant. No amount of complain can move you forward. You must be diligent to do.
All these years of laziness, complaining, making excuses not being prompt and consistent are the root of your stagnation and failure.
Dare to be diligent.
Be determined to move from the place of complaining, inconsistency, making excuses, being distracted, laziness and cultivate the habit of diligence.
Be diligent to do things differently this year and see the difference you will make.
Remain diligent in all things irrespective of opposition.
