DOING GREAT THINGS (According to God’s Order) 3
” With God we will do great things; for by him will our haters be crushed underfoot.” Psalm 108:13 (BBE)
We have this calling to do great things because, God does great things.
You may have the desire to do great things in this world. However, you are not called to do great things according to the standard of the world.
There are many things people may do, which the world will applaud as great feat, and will not be reckoned as Kingdom relevance.
Or you may attempt to do something great with your strength which may seem relevant in the kingdom, but will not be recognized as such by God.
What you do must be according to the Lord’s due order of greatness.
Don’t just do things for God and call them great. It is the things which God has designed you to do that must be done.
Whatever God has called you to do, the intention and purposes has been foreordained.
” For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].” Ephesians 2:10 (Amplified)
There are paths which the Lord has set. He has shown us through scriptures the level impact we must make.
Becoming a great athlete, accountant, mathematician, etc may seem great before men in this world, but there is a greatness of impact you are ordained by God to make.
Jesus showed us the pattern of greatness.
” I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12 (Amplified).
There are great things the Lord did and now He has empowered us to step out there to do even greater.
Anything great you envision to do, it must be that which will contribute to the expansion of the Kingdom.
People shouldn’t just applaud you for what you do.
They shouldn’t just applaud you as an outstanding student. Or an excellent business man. Those avenues must be used to influence the multitudes with the light of the Kingdom.
Don’t just be a celebrated philanthropist, be a Kingdom financier. Be a part of the sponsors of the spread of the gospel. Be a mighty soul winner. Take daring steps to draw many to Christ.
You can be a lawyer and still demonstrate great healing power, win thousands of souls, give into the spread of the gospel across the nations of the world.

WE PRAY:
That we shall increase in the understanding of the intention of the Lord and to rightly correct our motives so that our exploits will be according to God’s due order of greatness.
