ARE WE TO MANAGE SIN OR LIVE DEAD TO SIN?

ARE WE TO MANAGE SIN OR LIVE DEAD TO SIN?

“For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2

It shows how we are to see, read and understand scriptures. Everything points to the person Jesus Christ and His finished work. It is the finished work of Christ that serves as our lens and not the crisis around us. You can choose to read it in the light of the finished work of Christ or in the shadows of the works of the flesh.
Paul the Apostle never preached Sin-Management. Not even in TITUS 2:11-12 as it seems. If Titus 2:11-12 teaches sin management, then it contradicts the Gospel Apostle Paul preached. Interesting right?
The “gospel” of sin management encourages us to work hard at trying to subdue sin. It seeks to have us develop our own methods and strategies to conquer and overcome sin. . The other dogma of the “gospel” of sin management is like the name suggests: SIN management. According to this teaching, the goal of all we do as New Creations is about sin, either avoiding it or managing it by our works. See how the New Creation life is reduced to sin..
WELL, if sin could be managed in an effort to overcome it, then Christ’s death on the cross as our sin was unneeded; and we would have no need for a Savior that takes our sin, guilt, and shame upon him so that we can be liberated. Or what do you think? I’m really surprised how New Creations have made sin a problem whiles God has dealt with it. The issue is in what we don’t know (not in terms of awareness but consciousness). Sin management has been the reason probably most believers go to church meetings. Aww… that is sad. Overcoming sinful actions in life consumes the thoughts and energy of many sincere believers. They really have pure motives, but their focus is completely misguided. The knowledge of Christ does not drive our attention and mind towards our sins and make an input on eliminating them. That actually doesn’t produce effective results. It only strengthens the stakes and the increase of ignorance, defeat and sinful actions. The gospel teaches that we should focus on Jesus and not our sins at all. When we fix our focus on the wrongs and try to plan out how to conquer that behavior, we will begin to initiate or invent our own self-effort and some will power… God doesn’t get involved in man-made methods. He always has a due order for us to take advantage of. When you keep rejecting what He has provided, you will keep failing until you come to the answer he has provided.
PLEASE TAKE A CLOSE LOOK:

Titus 2:11-12 “For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God,” (New Living Translation).

‘God’s readiness to give and forgive is now public. Salvation’s available for everyone! We’re being shown how to turn our backs on a godless, indulgent life, and how to take on a God-filled, God-honoring life.” (The Message)

“For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that [a]brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age,” (Amplified Bible).

You see the word denying in Greek is the word arnéomai – deny (refuse); refuse to affirm or to confess (identify with); disown (repudiate) abnegate, abjure, to renounce a thing, to forsake. (720, Strong’s concordance).
Alright, DENYING is simply SAYING NO.
In reality we usually say “no” because we’ve already said “yes”. You might say “no” to a girl who wants to do something you know you shouldn’t because you’ve already said “yes” to your Jesus’ love. The teachings of Sin management focuses on the no’s not the yes’. The result of the teaching of sin management is minimalism. But you see Jesus didn’t come to preach minimalism. Neither did he come to minimize sin or manage sin; He came to DESTROY IT FOREVER!!! He gave SIN permanent head damage. Sin is no longer the problem of the New Creation. The consciousness of it is the problem. The ignorance or not knowing that sin and the the old nature died in Christ on the cross is the problem. Not knowing that you don’t have the nature of sin in you is the problem.
HOW DOES GRACE TEACH YOU TO DENY OR SAY NO TO SIN?

From above you’ll realize that Grace teaches you to deny sin by teaching you to say yes to THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST. Grace teaches you that

“He who knew no SIN was made SIN that we might become the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST” 2 Corinthians 5:21.

Remember when He was made SIN on the cross, He died as SIN and was buried. SIN DIED WHEN CHRIST DIED. John says, the Lamb that takes away the sin of the world is JESUS (John 1:29). Grace teaches you to SAY YES TO HIM and His finished work for you. See what Paul says about denying sin “For death also that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God”. LIKEWISE you also, (SHOWING US HOW TO DENY) RECKON yourselves to be dead indeed to SIN, but ALIVE TO GOD in Christ Jesus Our Lord”. Romans 6:10-11 (emphasis). Now this is how you deny or say no to sin: RECKON YOURSELVES DEAD TO SIN. You have no business to manage it. Stop the strategies, and the methods you are trying to put in place. Walk in the consciousness that you are dead to sin. The nature of sin is not in you. You are now the righteousness of God in Christ. You agreeing with God and confessing what He has made you, is you denying what you are not. You are not a fornicator so you don’t agree to fornication. It’s not a strategy but the quality of the life of Christ which is in you, MADE ALIVE IN YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS. Paul said,
“I’ve been crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live: yet not I, but it is Christ that lives in me. The life that I live now in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loves me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20.
WOW… You see it now! The Life you live in the flesh is by FAITH IN CHRIST and His FINISHED WORK FOR YOU. It’s not by any legalistic strategies you have outlined for yourselves. It’s not by any do’s and don’ts. The only way to enjoy victory over sin is to rest in the victory that is already ours because of Christ’s finished work. He defeated sin once and for all. Transformation is seen in our daily living when we simply believe that reality and stop trying to do something that He has already done. We are not to deny the sufficiency of his grace and attempt to utilize legalistic methods to do it ourselves. Legalistic methods doom us to failure. Sinful passions are aroused by the Law. See Romans 7:5; 1 Corinthians 15:56. SIN MANAGEMENT makes you think you can minimize sin. But sin cannot be minimized no matter how small you think it is. THAT IS WHY GOD’S ONLY SOLUTION WAS DEATH. SIN was killed forever on the cross…fellowship with this also HEBREWS 10;1-3; 9-12.
This is faith expressing itself through love.
YOU CAN ONLY SEE THESE THROUGH THE LENS OF THE FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST…
